Big welcome to our newest Fit Body Wellness Coach, Megan Percy. She has a strong background in Kinesiology, amazing energy and a willingness to coach others toward their progress. I recently interviewed her for our #Flowstateofmind Ambassador program, and loved her answers. Get to know her below, and don't hesitate sign up for an Intro Special with her before her schedule fills up!
What does it mean to you to be in #flowstateofmind in business, your physical practice, in meditation, and everyday life?
Megan: To be in a #flowstateofmind, life seamlessly transitions from one thing to the next, moment by moment, from staying focused and calm in the present. By doing so, goals become clearer and achievable- this allows me to create a life that is in flow with how I WANT to live my life!
What is your favorite quote about Flow?
Megan: "I think 99 times and I find nothing. I stop thinking, swim in silence, and the truth comes to me." - Albert Einstein
What is your story? Please include your experience, your philosophy, your expertise, and your approach in your industry.
Megan: Recently, I graduated from Western Washington University with my Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. For three and a half years while at Western, I taught yoga to students while working at our Rec Center, and also worked for Lululemon Athletica. During this time, I was immersed in an environment that thrived on helping others create a healthy lifestyle and find balance in their life. After graduation, I discovered Clubbell Yoga and completed an internship for Summer Huntington and the Fit Body Wellness company. Now that my internship has come to a complete, I have begun to work with the Fit Body Wellness team and have completed a Clubbell Yoga instructor training. Starting to develop my professional career, I feel the utmost importance in spreading my LOVE and PASSION for fitness and yoga by connecting with the people of my community to better their lives.
Share a personal story about being in Flow? How did it impact your experience or your performance, or both?
Megan: A time I stepped into a #flowstateofmind was when I agreed to complete an internship with Summer in November without knowing what this internship entailed or what it would bring into my future life. At a time where I was about to pack up and move to try living in a different environment, I saw this internship as a sign to stay in Bellingham and give it my all. Being willing to open up my time and learn the foundations of the Fit Body Wellness company allowed an abundance of opportunities to emerge in my life. Now I am working for a team full of knowledgable and loving people, building my own yoga and fitness professional identity, and continuing to create a life that I am stoked about while helping others.

What's the Homecoming all about?
Glad you asked... This year I made the decision to come to Latin America to focus on a region for 3 months, teach Clubbell Yoga workshops in Spanish, educate instructors and recruit talent, create a five year plan to grow Clubbell Yoga globally, train with some top Athletes (including Alberto Galazzi in Panama) and much more. Which is why I am so incredibly excited to come back home in Bellingham and teach our local Clubbell Yoga March Series.
Now, I know it's frigid in Bellingham, so here are a few videos to help you get geared up for Classes in March. Get your Clubbells and start finding your Flow.
As always, our Clubbell Yoga Community Classes (when I teach them) are meant to be progressive in nature and we ask for your commitment to at least 3 or 4 weeks in March. All levels are welcome, and spouses, friends and training partners encouraged. We are a community and love practicing with like minded individuals.

Did I also mention this manual has other inspiring techniques to ground yourself and aid you in achieving your goals and aspirations in other areas of your life, such as creating mantras? Well it does!
I would like to highlight a particularly unique element to the Fit Body Wellness approach to vitality through movement and why we use the Awaken, Condition, Practice approach.
When training any movement, the myofacsia (connective tissue layer over muscle) retains tension to some degree, which can create a compensation pattern. Compensation patterns can also occur from an injury whether due to an accident, overuse, or disuse. From compensation our body will build up residual tension to protect itself and stay in a comfortable pattern, eventually forgetting how to move or being completely immobilized in certain motions or positions. While these patterns kept us safe at one time they are extremely limiting and require commitment to unbind. When we go outside our comfort zone and engage with these stuck places we can experience many layers of unraveling stored tension and when we find ourselves on the other side we are more alive, relaxed and at home in our bodies, we have more strength and more endurance from this balanced place.
The purpose of Awaken, Condition and Practice is to create a movement flow that simultaneously breaks up residual tension and allows you to continue pursuing your movement goals. Here at Fit Body Wellness we have a great deal of experience in educating clients how they can do this for themselves. We give you the tools so you can take control of your own self discovery. We feel confident in giving you these tools because we have and are using them ourselves and we know they work. Few other wellness coaches will include so many elements as we do here at Fit Body Wellness, here we are committed to you thriving.
This manual offers a multi-dimentional approach to fitness to empower you to take charge of your health in a way unlike anything you have experienced elsewhere. If your looking to take the next step, or start on sure footing, regarding your wellness this manual and our coaching is for you.
So, you've heard about our New Client Manual and all the awesome educational, practical and guiding elements present in it. We went over the basics, explained how this manual integrates multiple elements to wellness and how it provides a clear platform to learn and grow from. We also covered a bit on compensation patterns, how we approach these and how you can expect to outgrow them through working with us.
If this calls to you, if your wellness is of priority in your life, or if you know you need to make a shift in your life and commit to yourself more, come receive some movement coaching and wellness education at Fit Body Wellness. We are offering our new manual as a gift when you sign up for an 8 session training package (our fundamentals training). Congrats to Alexis Orsini who just finished my 8 week signature#flowstateofmind coaching program! This coaching is for emerging entrepreneurs who want to create authentic brands that make an impact on this planet, which she is doing! So much gratitude for this work and for her...
When you step into Flow, practice discipline, manage your creativity & productivity and create a #flowstateofmind... amazing shifts CAN and DO happen. Why?
1. Intention - you commit to making changes
2. Practice - you take action often
3. Removing blocks and self limiting beliefs - you dedicate time to self care, meditation and manifestation.
Today was the final FlowStateofMind coaching call for Alexis Orsini, and I want to share some of her insight on the program and how it helped her create meaningful shifts in her life.
She is such a beautiful person inside and out, and it was an absolute pleasure working with her one on one via skype calls, weekly personal development homework, creating web copy, designing authentic programs for her nutrition coaching, and establishing a rhythm of Flow to help her balance work/family/creating/self care.
myself and how to alter my meditations based on what I need. I know how to develop marketing tools like brochures and websites and how to use social media to serve my tribe. I have a clearer understanding of what programs to create for people and making effective plans for them. I plan to continue to work through all the material you’ve given me again, to refine my understanding and continue to create content.
Thank you so much for encouraging me and continuing to challenge me to get past those blocks and make real progress. Your coaching is indispensable and I'm so grateful to be working with you!"
Thank you Alexis for your dedication to the 8 week FlowStateofMind coaching program! You have excelled in so many ways!
I am taking on 2 more clients this month for the 8 week signature Flowstateofmind coaching program, contact me directly if you'd like to schedule a call to discuss your needs for coaching and see if we are aligned to work together.
It is my honor to highlight one of my most dedicated local clients, Donna Inglis as Client of the Month. Donna has far surpassed my expectations as a client, she completely trusts in the work that we do. She came to Fit Body Wellness several months after a very serious surgery to remove a brain tumor, and wanted to get back in touch with her body and start to move without pain. Donna is a warrior, and also overcame some medical conditions that left her fatigued. Fast forward to now, she has been training consistently 3-4 days a week for over a year and has made some amazing transformations in her physique and her movement patterns.
When Donna first started, we began with joint mobility and Intuflow for several weeks to regain all ranges of motion in cervical, thoracic, lumbar spine, shoulders and hips. This low impact style of training is ideal for post rehab, and primes the nervous system to handle bodyweight conditioning. Next we started re-education of the four main players of the core. Donna was patient with her progress and kept showing up, ready to grow and be present during her movement practice.
We just took measurements and in our last two months of training, she lost 3 inches around her waist, one inch down in her hips and almost an inch around her arms. Her friends have commented that her legs are looking leaner, and her shirts are fitting much looser. These drastic changes in her physique came without any crazy dieting, just consistency, commitment and mindful movement.
How did three feisty, intelligent and innovative women become the lead American Head Coaches for RMAX International... two words. Dedication & Loyalty. Dedication to all systems in the Circular Strength Training Umbrella (Clubbells, TACFIT, FlowFit & Clubbell Yoga), and loyalty to our Coach Scott Sonnon who has given us an amazing opportunity to share these powerful techniques with others. Angela and Emily Fisher lead all Clubbell Athletics Seminars as well as offer Online Coaching, and I (Summer Huntington) lead all Clubbell Yoga workshops and seminars, and have also recently joined the realm of Performance Coaching via the web.
My approach to online coaching is to first assess movement and goals, then create a program that serves both. Accountability is huge, and I work closely with my clients to ensure that they are staying committed to the goals that they have set. Online Coaching for me means taking an athlete to the next level by educating them on the psychological aspects of training sophisticated movement, as well as creating new movement strategies for exercises which leak power.
I start each of my online clients with a movement screening, using FlowFit exercises. By watching the round of FlowFit, I am essentially looking for compensation patterns that show up, and then finding ways to retrain the motor pattern properly to avoid leaking power. Once I have an idea of how they move, I can create a program focused on improving efficiency, power, mobility and performance. By limiting my client load to 10 athletes per month, I can spend more time crafting a very personalized program and provide support weekly with video check ins, follow up videos for corrective exercises and Skype sessions. We live in a digital world and Online Coaching works for a lot of serious coaches and athletes.
For Inquiries for Online Coaching with myself, Summer Huntington, contact me directly via the Contact Form on this website, after reading all info and maybe even filling out the online application to see if you are a good candidate for Online Coaching.
I reached out to the Fisher Sisters, of SloFlo Fitness and asked them about their philosophies for Online Coaching, and here is what they had to say:
"You don’t have to be near us to train with us. We offer personalized online coaching in your natrual environment and believe the key to a successful coaching experience lies in connection and trust. Therefore, we keep our clients to a minimum so we can focus on spending the time and attention necessary for success. This enables us to be candid and available to our clients 24/7.
We draw from our experience in Circular Strength Training, TACFIT, Clubbell Athletics, Clubbell Yoga, FlowFit, 6°Flow, Intu-Flow, and poise analysis to tailor programs that fit your needs and goals and have proven online success working with all ages and fitness levels. From coaches & athletes pursuing certification to anyone simply wanting to improve overall fitness and movement, we thrive on facilitating progress and are there along the way to provide encouragement, adjustments, and feedback in your preferred format. Our coaching can include Skype checkups, unique program guides, and video resources that help you stay motivated and accountable."

It gets dark now around 4pm.
That can be a bit... well, depressing.
But, every now and again we get moments of sunlight, daybreaks I call them. I found myself with my photographer friend, Rory Savatgy of savatgy.com the other day, making the most of a mini-movement break at Boulevard park. Here are some fun photos to help inspire you to move, get outside (despite the gloomy weather), and maybe even get upside down. I have also included a little blurb to go with each photo, reflecting on how movement can affect your state of mind.
Check out my other site www.clubbellyoga.tv to see where I will be teaching [indoor] yoga this January in the Pacific Northwest, specially Seattle and Vancouver.
Flying, or jumping makes me feel weightless. To be able to elevate even for a moment, gives a sense of freedom.
Inversions are exhilarating, can bring bloodflow to the brain. Boosting creativity and cerebral function.
Short walks outside in beautiful public places, near water or trees or both can decrease cortisol levels.
Balance and play, or using your surroundings to make 'movement art' puts me right into the present.
Slowing down to notice little things (like the heart above my hands) helps to cultivate a sense of love and gratitude. The tree pose resembles grounding, and the heart represents namaste - the light in me honors the light in you.
Thank you to Rory for always inspiring play, creative projects, movement, balance and for your awesome photography work. Your handstands are getting really good.
